TYPES OF ABUSE
1. CHILD ABUSE
This is the excessive
application of punishment, force or discipline
upon a child. Such abuse can be physical or it can be applied in other
types of abuse such as emotional, mental, financial, social or verbal,
just to name some. Child abuse should never be equated to discipline
(unless it is excessive) as is, sadly, done by some governments and so
called child care "specialists". The Bible is very clear that if we
spare the rod, we spoil the child. This is clearly seen in western
society where there is a rise in lawlessness that is clearly connected
back to a lack of discipline. Discipline becomes abuse when it is
excessive.
