TYPES OF ABUSE
6. BULLYING
A common practice,
especially in the school situation or among children
and teenagers in general. This is where a person, or persons (male or
female) endeavour to exert some type of physical authority over others.
That can be just for the pleasure that it supposedly gives the bully or
it can be more sinister, demanding some type of payment in order to
ensure that the physical threat is not applied. These tactics, however,
can extend beyond the children and is actually a practice of gangs and
the like in the adult world, being applied, often but not exclusively,
to protection rackets affecting individuals or business.
