TYPES OF ABUSE

This is another area that is difficult to define. Each person has their own personal space that they like to keep to themselves. For some the space is very small while for others it can be quite large. This is the area around a person that they like to keep for themselves. Too often people will deliberately and intentionally invade that space with the express purpose of upsetting the victim. Constantly touching them, crowding them and possibly even hurting them in some way (like a "friendly" pinch). The accidental invasion is usually overlooked but the deliberate ones are hard. Such abuse can lead to withdrawal and, in extreme cases, suicide.
