| If you know a friend who is having any of these things done to them, tell them to tell a grown up person such as a teacher, a policeman or policewoman or a grown up person they trust. |
| If someone is doing these things to you, you are not the one that is being bad and you should not get into trouble when you tell a grown up person you can trust. |
| YOU COULD GET BURNT
Why do you look so sad No smile on your face Things cannot Be that bad You tell me you don’t Ever want to go home My dear you cannot walk The streets and roam Your parents would be Worried about you And hurt that you Cannot tell them what You’re going through You say they will Kick you out anyway And you’re too scared To go on home Being out here Late at night Is not safe When you’re alone If you cannot go home Then go to the police They will find you Somewhere at least Whatever the problem It can be, sorted out You need to talk it over Trust someone Without a doubt Trusting people Is hard when You’ve been hurt Running away You could get burnt Talk it over With someone You can trust Don’t be in a rush Think before your actions Your parents may give A better reaction © Natalie Price May 6, 2010 |
| GOD HAS HEARD OUR CRIES Darkness fills our home We hate being there Now we go out and roam The evil presence we feel We know it’s not God’s will Our home should Be filled with love But we feel dirty Like a covering of mud God has heard our cries And brought us A special guy He wants to be Our dad Oh boy we are so glad God is working In our mum She is awesome And can be So much fun Help us to pray This evil Presence away We don’t want Our mum to Be used anymore In our home It’s just like a war We keep praying This evil Out of the door Our mum is So special And we want Her safe Lord Please help us And restore Her faith © Natalie Price September 2009 |
| NIGHTMARE OF A CHILD Mummy I am so frightened, please don’t me leave me alone here I’m so scared, he drinks beer, and I don’t want him near I don’t want to go to bed, he hurts me and I cry in pain Please tell him to go; I know I will get the blame If I hide under my bed, he may not find me It’s so dark in my room, I cannot see Look at those shadows, they look like his shape They look so big, just like an ape What’s that sound, I hear him coming? Please help somebody, where is my mummy Your hands are so big; let me go, leave me be Oh please go away, and don’t touch me My hands are shaking and I feel so hot Golly my tummy hurts; it feels like knots She doesn’t believe me when I try to tell her And tells me I’m a liar and not to stir I get into trouble for telling the truth He smacked me in the mouth and hurt my tooth This is a nightmare, it happens every day I cry myself to sleep; I wish he would go away © Natalie Price March 2009 |
