| YOU HAVE A FRIEND Living by myself, I find I have time to reflect The mistakes I have made My relationships, which were wrecked I look back now and think wow The change in me and how God delivered me out of evil hands He gave me a friend, to follow His plans The Lord rescued me, He gave me hope And showed me His way on how to cope I now have the armour and the shield The lies of the devil, will no longer be concealed The slander and smearing of my name The truth has come out; I’m no longer to blame I depend upon the Lord as my protector Sometimes He comes as a police inspector When a friend calls in, to see that you’re ok It may be an Angel that has sent him your way © Natalie Price March 2009 |
SUFFERING CAN BE A POSITIVE MOVE Sometimes we need to experience things To teach us to understand When situations get too tough for us Jesus holds out His hand It may seem cruel to us, at the time Put your trust in God, it will be fine Pain can be a positive move If we know its there, it can be removed Suffering is part of our lessons in life A learning process at times, hurts like a knife I have found, it’s made me so much stronger To persevere that much longer We can make a difference Stop the devil’s interference What I did, was praise God in my distress That is the key, the Lord does the rest Resist the devil and he shall flee I’m telling you the truth, you will see The devil cannot stand us to pray He recedes so fast, he does not stay Call on the name of Jesus He will hear your cry There is power in that name And the devil will surely die © Natalie Price March 2009 |
| DO NOT BE SILENT Do not be silent in your despair Please remember there are people who care By trusting in the Lord, He will give you His sword The devil will shake, while you will applaud It was very difficult for me to surrender The Lord does not have any hidden agenda I argued with God, would you believe? It hurt Him so much, He would have grieve My trust had been shattered, from my parent’s abuse But the Lord he smiled, let’s have a truce Sarcastically back, I said why I should believe you Look at my parents and what they put me through I need some proof; I want the truth He said my child, I gave you my Son Jesus died for you, the victory is won I felt ashamed as I complained But I still didn’t stop there; life to me just wasn’t fair I spoke up again; my Lord, with tears in my eyes He answered my prayer to my surprise Please give me peace and contentment in my life? SAY What purpose am I here for, when I’ve suffered so much pain There has to be a reason, for this to be explained My only understanding is, my life has been transformed Amazingly enough, I have weathered all the storms My life has been created for God’s purpose to be fulfilled I know that for sure now, I’m absolutely thrilled The Holy Spirit has His way of speaking to your heart Incredible as it sounds, believe me He’s very smart Somehow the Lord got through to me He opened my eyes and made me see Be careful how you used your tongue Negativity will get you hung My fear of dread, in what laid ahead? Kept me stumbling and painfully mislead The devil in his sly and cunning way Was planting evil thoughts, and leading me astray He was controlling my speech, in what I was saying I recognized this and starting praying You can curse yourself by what you say Get rid of the negativity; don’t let the devil have his way I’m now thinking positive in everything I do Even in my bad times, Jesus has helped me through © Natalie Price March 2009 |
GUARD YOUR HEART Guard your heart in what you do throughout your day What you watch and read, is not always ok If you fill your mind with violence and brutality In your own life it may come as a reality At one time, I would watch and read what suited me The devil's demonic attacks, would not let me be These vile thoughts, kept rolling around in my head I couldn’t go to sleep, my head was like lead The mood I was in, the very next morning Anyone would think that I was in mourning It didn’t take long for depression to sink in My whole personality was changing within When you watch stuff like this, it teaches us abuse It destroys your confidence, you become a recluse What are we trying to teach our kids? Perverse in their thinking, they become morbid Some of their games are full of hostility We must take action and responsibility In this society we are breeding abuse Please don’t give up, say what is the use Take action now, it’s never too late Get rid of this evilness, as it only breeds hate © Natalie Price March 2009 |
| WE WILL NOT BE AFRAID Identifying abuse is not always that easy It’s horrifying to think that people are that sleazy Victims of abuse can conceal it so well It’s difficult to coaxed them, out of their shell They hide their affliction, like a dirty disease When you try to help them, they clam up and freeze Most children find it hard to clarify the truth This sickening act is so repulsive and uncouth Battered and bruised and totally used They will not report, but utterly refuse Their self esteem gets severely affected The fear is there, they’re not protected The Lord is our strong tower We no longer run and cower The righteous are kept safe from harm Praise the Lord we’re not alarmed He is our refuge in time of trouble And has taken away all the rubble His Angels will guard us in all our ways Glory to the God, He has all our praise The Lord is the light of our salvation He offers us his love and wonderful invitation We will not be afraid, Jesus came to our aid. © Natalie Price March 2009 |
SEXUAL ABUSE, A LIFE LONG SENTENCE Sexual abuse can be a life long sentence Healing comes through with repentance Fearing the act of penetration This caused exasperation and frustration Accused and was told, I’m not a normal woman I felt discarded, my confidence was ruined My first marriage ended in divorce Against my will, he had to used force He could not understand my fears I hated it so much, I ended up in tears Refusing to listen, he never tried to understand My relationship suffered, in the end I lost my man God heard my cries, and took all of my fears I now have four kids, after many years We have been redeemed from the hand of the enemy The pain and suffering, is still in my memory But the curse has been broken, I now can forgive My Father in heaven, showed me how I should live © Natalie Price March 2009 |

| YOUR MOUNTAIN CAN BE MOVED The mountain in your life may look so high You feel there’s no hope left, so you want to die All things are possible with God, if you put your faith in Him Trust Him completely, He will destroy the sin It was a long time, before I totally trusted the Lord God tried to tell me many times, but all I did was ignore Listen very carefully to what I am trying to say The devil had his foothold and nearly has his way Gloom and doom was all around me I was so blinded, I could not see Sinking deeper into my world of depression All I wanted to do, was flee I knew I had to get away from this oppression Praise the Lord I am now free Faith was all I needed to move my mountain of darkness The cruelty I was under, was appallingly heartless God says; call on me in times of trouble I will rescue you out of your muddle God who began a good work in you Will keep on going until you come through There is no growth without change Hand it to the Lord and He will exchange And there is no change without fear Listen to the Holy Spirit and you will hear And no lost without pain Give it all to Jesus and you will gain. © Natalie Price March 2009 |

FOOLS Whispering sounds come from their lips Their snide remarks as they wiggle their hips They just walk by with a smirk on their face As if they’re tough, and stand in your space You feel a thump as they walk by A reaction from you, as you cop a pie Waiting in anticipation, for you to respond To bully you further, as you land in the pond Sadly these intimidators, thrive to make you feel small And they’re not happy people, unless they make you crawl An ant has more sense then these fools These jerks go around thinking they’re cool Death and life are in the power of the tongue They better think twice, before having their fun Your own soul is nourished when you are kind The cruel soul is blind and they will lose their mind Wickedness never brings real success With their stupidity, they will land in a mess Tough fools brag about what they’ve done But one day soon, they will be on the run Brutality brings misery, it destroys like a curse Love and kindness, does the reversed It brings joy and laughter to the heart The Lord gives you wisdom, and then you’re smart © Natalie Price March 2009 |

THIS SICKENING CRIME Pedophiles stalk our children like prey Ready to trap them to their dismay Pouncing on them like an angry lion With hearts of steel they’re made of iron Lusting after a small wee child So disgusting it’s absolutely vile Destroying their innocence at a tender young age Lost in their silent cry, what we feel is rage Heartbroken by this revolting act But we live in a sick society, that’s a fact These little ones would be so scared They are so frightened, all they do is stare Their purity is all gone, my Lord this is so wrong This helpless child, cannot battle someone so strong How do they convey this repulsive crime? It churns my stomach, when I think of this filthy slime. GIVE OUR LORD A CALL Keep a watchful eye, predators stalk nearby Lurking behind some trees, for the opportunity to seize Do not stop or answer their call It’s very likely you would be mauled These perpetrators are very cruel They entice you with gifts, and offer you a lift If they ask for directions, run as fast as you can Scream out loud, to foil their plans Your life could be in danger, keep away from these strangers Beware of a friend who can take advantage of you Cunningly they watch all that you do If you used public toilets, always take care They could be hiding, to catch you unaware Members of family can hurt you too They call you a liar, which is not always true Go find a teacher, minister or friend for support If a crime has been done, they’ll go and report If all else fails, where you think there is no hope at all Look up above and give our Lord a call © Natalie Price March 2009 |
