WISDOM IS HIS SMALL VOICE

A little child holds out his hand, he wants to be like you when he’s a man
The sad part is, that can never be; this little boy is handicap you see
Children like him don’t understand, why they cannot do the same things you can
He tries so very hard to please, but the big boys around him, they only tease
Then he goes and plays by himself, they laugh and jeer and call him an elf
Happy in his own little fantasy world, jumping and dancing he’s in a whirl
Their smirking looks are so unkind, taunting and hissing, he’s lost his mind
Suddenly he turns around; he gazes at them without a frown
No tears in his eyes, he says hey guys; I am not really a clown
Smiling and laughing he looks at them all, invites them to play a game of ball
Coughing, spluttering on what do next, confused by his actions they were perplexed
He holds out his hands and beckons them to come, Jesus loves you, He’s God’s Son
God made me special and told me to have some fun; I want to show you, so please come
The big boys not knowing what to say turned around and went the other way
This little boy looked up and said don’t worry; they will be okay, I will pray

OBSESSION

Irrational behavior with my mother’s obsession
Living under her manipulation, so she could get more possessions
It wasn’t always in material objects
Her compulsive behavior had its serious affects
I became a possession to her after my Dad died
She was not truthful about her feelings, and she lied
My mother wanted to control my every move
My mother’s dominating attitude, I very much disapproved
Her obsessive behavior, made me very ill
My nerves were a mess, at times I felt I could kill
Emotionally abused every day, I almost blew a fuse
I knew if I wanted my health back, I had to choose
So I made a decision, my family approved
To let my mum go, and so she moved
Healing took along time, but now I have my mind
I had to learn to forgive; it has taken a long time
Praying for my mother, released my pain
It opened the door and Jesus came
Unforgiveness can destroy what God can do
Let it all go and you’ll come through

THE LORD IS OUR SHEPHERD

The Lord is our Shepherd; He will lead us if we let him
It’s hard to start again; not knowing where to begin
Suddenly you find yourself alone and sad
Wondering what happened, that things got so bad
You start to feel empty with no one there
Loneliness takes you to another world, of despair
Be careful in which way you turn
Otherwise you may return
Going back down the track
Will only bring you more attacks
If we walk away from His light,
It’s not very bright; you know it’s not right
We need our Shepherd, to lead the way
And give us hope for a brighter day
The wrong kind of love can lead you into a spin
When we are weak, we are drawn back to sin
Pray and you will find a different kind
Do not look back and you will find
That the Lord will bless you, and He will send
A wonderful being, that you can call your friend

CHILDREN ARE NOT OUR WEAPONS

Our children are not weapons, when we decide to get tough
Using children in domestic violence is bad enough
Fighting and arguments cause so much damage
Especially if we as parents, go on a rampage
We should not use children to relay our messages
Or stop them from seeing their beloved relatives
Threatening to take our children away
Has a serious consequence, in many ways
Their future relationships, can be badly affected
So many of them, end up feeling rejected
Children can feel guilty and believe they’re to blame
They carry this with them, and feel so ashamed
Children are a blessing and a gift to us from God
Taking away their spirit, they feel they’ve been robbed
My own children grew up in this sad scene
The results were devastating, and that I mean
Think before you start to yell
Your children listen; it’s like living in hell
My own children, lived in this scene
The results were devastating, and that I mean
God has really blessed us since those days
Our lives are at peace, now we give praise

OPEN YOUR EYES AND BE WISE

Be careful of whose care you put your children in
Even in the hands of your next of kin
Make sure you can fully trust them in their care
If there is any doubt, think twice and beware
Paedophiles hide their actions really well
And threaten your children not to tell
Be on the look out and listen to advice
Your children will pay for it, it’s a high price
Never ever leave your kids alone
It’s better for them, if you postpone
The repercussions of this sick crime
Will stay with them, way after their prime
Please I pray, make sure that they’re ok
Or you’ll be sorry, if they become their prey

INTERNET SEX

Women can be placed in a vulnerable position
Out of loneliness they can make so many wrong decisions
We can become easy prey on the Internet
A great place to meet people and connect
There are some very sick minded people out there
So disgusting, they need our prayer
Being a victim myself, I understand
How lonely you can get without a man
I wanted love, companionship, and marriage
They wanted sex and some fun, without the baggage
The trouble is we want to believe everything they tell us
Sometimes it can affect our faith and destroy our trust
This has happened, a few times to me
You would think I would gain some sense and flee
Its time for me to make a call, I need to have a talk with my Lord
Direction is what I needed; I was losing time I couldn’t afford
Each day that went by, I was sobbing my heart out, and asked myself why
Funny thing was, I gave up trying, what’s the use of all that crying
You can be obsessed with being alone; I use to hate coming home
Never dwell in self pity, get some interests and start with giving
Do something for someone else, and then you will start living
I don’t think of being lonely now, I’ve so much to do and how
I got myself a fish and a snail; they both get on exceptionally well
My two little finches brighten up my day; if I get lonely I sit and pray

LIVING ON THE EDGE

Circumstances can alter the way we feel and think
A turbulent lifestyle can definitely send us on the brink
Many years of living under stress, can drive you insane
Your nerves are a mess, and you feel completely drained
Medication, illegal drugs and alcohol, may give you a quick fix
But it’s not the answer, in repairing these serious conflicts
Taking the easy way out is not a good idea
It weakens your spirit and brings in the fear
Your health and mind will deteriorate, at a very fast pace
By making things worse, you become a bad case
Not only hurting yourself, but your family too
They’re in misery, not knowing what to do
Family members can be extremely abusive
We shut them out, and turn into a reclusive
Whatever the problem, you must communicate
Seek out a friend before it’s to late, don’t alienate
The Lord knows what you are going through
If you let Him in, He will help you
God listens and sees us in our despair
And I can tell you, He certainly does care
In all my troubles, my Lord was my friend
He stayed with me, and He will to the end

WORDS OF WARNING

We must believe in ourselves
Or else our well being, can be affected as well
Without faith we have no hope
And it’s so much harder for us to cope
If anyone has given you a cutting remark
It’s like a knife that pierces our heart
Words that speak encouragement
Replace the ones of discouragement
Justified criticism is sometimes okay
But condemnation can lead you astray
Confidence is something, so many of us lack
A history of abuse, can take us off the track
We need to stay positive, to be able to overcome
Negativity will not succeed, and it’s not a lot of fun
Be careful how you speak when you meet
Don’t give out vibes that will show, that you’re weak
Jesus did not come for the righteous, which are strong
He came for the lost to help them, fix the wrong
What we speak out, can determine our path
It can make or break us from this wrath

HYPNOSIS SHOULD BE A CRIME

Don’t open your mind to hypnosis
Some people seek them out for a diagnosis
It is not harmless, like they claim
It’s very foolish, you can become insane
Being hypnotised can appear to be working
Believe me, the devil is in there lurking
Hypnotherapist claim they can cure and help the mind
The devil is very clever in disguising this crime
What comes in is demonic possession
Often the victim ends up with depression
Worst still your whole character can change
Your mind can become twisted and mentally deranged
My Dad practiced hypnotherapy for many years
The result was devastating, and so were my fears
Demonic possession is very real, my mother became very ill
For many years, I suffered under this bazaar behaviour
Please be warned and do yourself a favour
Don’t ever get involved in this kind of treatment
It’s the devil’s work, in your mistreatment
Abuse can often come from this sort of practice
You feel like you’ve been hit with a prickly old cactus
The spikes enter deep under your skin
Satan will let go, if you let Jesus in

YOU BETTER THINK TWICE

Sometimes we have to get tough in our thinking
Some people close their ears and start shrinking
If you don’t listen to sound advice
Think again, my advice is to think twice
I have had many years of all kinds of abuse
My heart has been bruised, being used
So I don’t pussy foot around anymore
You’ll hear the truth and more
I got sick and tired of shutting my mouth
Believe me when I tell you, I ‘m no small mouse
This force within, drives me to speak out
No more whispering, I will shout
There comes a time when you get sick of these crimes
Abuse is happening, too many times
My poems reflect my true life experiences
Walking around blind, at your own convenience
Will not help you, as you will pay the consequences
Get a life and come to your senses
Being blunt may not be one of my best features
But speaking the truth, hopefully it teaches

IN OUR WEAKNESS

God believes we’re special in our own uniqueness
But the devil tries to destroy us in our weakness
He attacks us by giving us the wrong desires
So he brings us cheaters and deceitful liars
Temptation is very difficult and hard to resist
We need to be strong, as the devil persists
The devil is very clever in deceiving us
So he uses people, we think we can trust
And they may look as if they’re decent and kind
Their actions prove differently, as you will find
They seem to appear as Angels of light
Until the monster in them, gives you a fright
It doesn’t take much to fall under their power
Instead of being strong, you’ll be weaker and cower
Every moment that you’re awake
The devil is waiting, for that one big mistake
Watch out; and do not let your guard down
Praise is the key that will give you the crown
It will weaken the devil and he will leave town

ABUSERS LISTEN, I HAVE SOMETHING TO SAY

Listen, all you people that abused, and do not listen but refuse
Darkness as black as night, shall cover you
You enemies of God will perish, and be destroyed
The wickedness in your heart will be made void
Your flesh will become like burnt cinders
And you will not stand in the way and hinder
Despicable, contemptible, sick minds
One day you will pay for your appalling crimes
Your victims will dance for joy and sing hooray
At last justice will be done, and you will pay
Violence will disappear, no longer will your victims fear
God’s favour has come on those who mourn
His wrath will come on you, so be warned
Your days are numbered, and do not laugh
You have no idea of God’s crushing wrath
I will give beauty for ashes, for the ones with lashes
Instead of heaviness, there will be praise
My glory will shine and you will be amazed
My fury will be known all over the earth
But those that mourn will be given back their worth

NIGHTMARE

Trembling and frightened, you cannot go to sleep
Fear creeps in and you start to weep
Your eyes are open and listening for every sound
Hiding under the bed so you won’t be found
Shadows seem to gather in every corner
Perspiring madly, as if you’re in a sauna
It feels like you’re in a nightmare, when will it end
You wish you could leave, but you don’t have a friend
A sick paedophile comes and stays in your house
The hard part is, he is your mother’s spouse
She won’t believe you, if you try to tell
You’re scolded severely; it’s like living in hell
Where do you go, what can you do?
No one believes you, in what you go through
This story is so true in our society today
These contemptible offenders need to be put away

NIGHTMARE OF A CHILD

Mummy I am so frightened, please don’t me leave me alone here
I’m so scared, he drinks beer, and I don’t want him near
I don’t want to go to bed, he hurts me and I cry in pain
Please tell him to go; I know I will get the blame
If I hide under my bed, he may not find me
It’s so dark in my room, I cannot see
Look at those shadows, they look like his shape
They look so big, just like an ape
What’s that sound, I hear him coming?
Please help somebody, where is my mummy
Your hands are so big; let me go, leave me be
Oh please go away, and don’t touch me
My hands are shaking and I feel so hot
Golly my tummy hurts; it feels like knots
She doesn’t believe me when I try to tell her
And tells me I’m a liar and not to stir
I get into trouble for telling the truth
He smacked me in the mouth and hurt my tooth
This is a nightmare, it happens every day
I cry myself to sleep; I wish he would go away

PROSTITUTING OUR KIDS

Marriage breakups can be very devastating on our kids
Their atmosphere can be somewhat depressing and very distressing
The bills keep rolling in, and money is very tight
Your heart feels crushed, and your thinking is not right
And you start to ponder on what you can do
You tell yourself you need a man, he will help you through
Out of loneliness, you invite different men into you home
Their eyes are full of darkness, they look around and roam
A heavily built man, asked if he could stay there for one night
Their mum hastily said yes, it will be alright
The children felt the tension, as he wondered around to explore
Deviously he checks all the rooms, the kids he just ignored
He looks at them intently, with darkness in his eyes
The evilness surrounds him, as if he’s won a prize
Then he tells the mother, the kids should be in bed
With a smirk on his face, he touches her up the leg
He says hey; I know a way for you, to make some big money
It will be so sweet it will taste like honey
With a devious look and his cunning smile
He looks at the kids, this could be worthwhile
They sense the danger from this evil stranger
Horrified and frightened, the kids are alarmed
The mother agreed, as long as they weren’t harmed
Petrified and scared, at what was about to take place
He grabbed one of the kids, her little heart just raced
Then he threw her on the bed, as if she was dead
As he pushed his body into her, she could smell his fleshy odour
Her body was now throbbing, from the pain all over
Her tummy in knots, she pleaded for him to stop
So he shoved himself harder, until he was like a rock
He muffled her mouth as he went in and out
She tried her best to scream, all he did was beamed
For a fist full of dollars, they were betrayed by their mother
They no longer have a family, or one another
Prostitution is a crime, but this one is the very worst kind
Their lives in ruins, because this creep had his way
God will judge them for their wickedness one day

LIVING ON THE STREETS

Abused kids often end up on our streets
Drug addicts, pimps, and thieves
These are the kinds of people that they meet
With no income to support their needs
Homeless and hungry, they need a feed
Predators are on the loose
Watch out, as you could become their next goose
Ready and waiting to prey on our kids
They become their victims for the highest bid
Some of the kids end up in jail
Not a nice place, their faces go pale
Young and new blood has just arrived
You’re not quite sure if you’re going to survive
It doesn’t matter what sex you are
Life inmates don’t care, they’re in there for awhile
Sexually molested and disfigured by the assault
The inmates stick together, and say it was your fault
Believe me this does happen in our jails today
You better stay clean; otherwise you’ll be put away
Worst to come, you become addicted
Then you know you’re really afflicted
Your whole personality has a big change
The brain cells are affected, you become deranged
Desperate in your need for more illegal drugs
You will do anything you can for these thugs
Murder, prostitution, stealing, and dealing
At the end of it all, you will need some healing
You need to make a decision; your life has become so foul
God is your only hope, which can help you now
Living on the streets, there is chance you’ll be repeatedly raped
Change your way of thinking, before it’s too late

DON’T SELL YOURSELF SHORT

Have you ever been told you’re not good enough?
And criticised, when you try so hard to do stuff
No matter what you do, it’s always wrong
They only want you there, for their use for so long
Then they discard you as if you’re a piece of litter
You’re frequently hearing their constant complaints
And it can drive you mad and make you bitter
You feel like you’re worthless and your life has no meaning
The only jobs you think you’re good at, is cleaning
Your confidence in your own ability is gone
Useless inadequate and a feeling you don’t belong
Well I’ve got news for you my friends
You don’t have to prove anything or make amends
I believe you can do anything; you put your mind too
Don’t listen to their lies, be happy with what you do
God made us individually different, not all  the same
He made us special and gave us our names
At one time I felt, I was worthless and didn’t have a brain
Boy was I wrong, and how dare they complain
When you give your best, you’re giving your all
If you listen to their lies, you will come down heavy and fall
It doesn’t matter if you’re rich or poor, thin or fat,
They’re judging you, go tell them to scat
Your life was planned, and you were created by God
The Lord says you’re special, and you’re loved
We are all called, to carry out God’s plans
Stop listening to these thick headed barbarians
They speak poisonous venom from their evil lips
And what leaks out of them, is polluted drips

LOW SELF ESTEEM CAN CAUSE YOU TO SIN

Your years of abuse, has made your feel you’re of little use
And you’ve allowed yourself to be shamefully loose
Sadly you’ve lost all confidence in your own abilities
All you’ve been use too, is malicious hostilities
No longer do you have any morals, or self respect
You accept any offers, no matter whose home gets wrecked
Seduce and abused, you allow your body to be used
You mind is in the mess and you’re totally confused
Feeling alone and sad in your world of despair
You know they don’t love you, or even care
Desperate, miserable and feeling very depressed
And wondering how your life, became an awful mess
When you feel like giving up, remember God’s grace
And why you’ve held on, for so long in the first place
God doesn’t want you hurt or feeling condemned
He has come to lead you; He is your  best friend

FORBIDDEN FRUIT

Adultery can have devastating results, in any relationship
Feeling betrayed, hurt and humiliated
But within your own family, it can turn to hatred
It’s serious enough, when you’re not related
Anger grows and then your feelings explode
The damage is done, its like rust that corrodes
To find your partner in the arms of your next of kin
You can be driven over the edge, for this terrible sin
With your mind twisted, you’re inconsolable
In desperation, you become uncontrollable
Suicidal thoughts start to brew inside of you
Your head is in whirl not knowing what to do
Revenge and violence is definitely not the way
You’ve been badly hurt, and want your pain to go away
Hate is like cancer, and it’s not the answer
One thing I know, all dark clouds have a silver lining
You will smile again; and your face will be shining
In life you will have many heartbreaking experiences
But you can make a decision, to change your circumstances
Your heart will start to heal, when you start to forgive
And only then, will you be able to move on and live

PEER PRESSURE

Peer pressure can be a real problem in our schools
Succumbing to their level, may finish up breaking all the rules
My youngest son, was coerced into using drugs
He didn’t want to be rejected, he ended up a being a thug
By getting involved in crime, he had to do his time
It certainly didn't pay off, and he was heavily fined
To be accepted you have to act like one of the gang
Or beaten up and thrown out, like a boomerang
If you don’t listen to what they say
For your own safety, get out of their way
Don’t be hoodwinked into being a fool
At the end of the day, you’re just their mule
Be careful what kind of friends you choose
It may change your direction, and then you lose
If you get in with the wrong crowd, you will be despised
Panic stricken, and on the run because you were not wise
Making wrong decisions, not only affects your life
It brings misery and heartache on your family
It’s like back stabbing them, with your own knife
I pray for the day, that my son will want to obey
And look to the Lord to guide him in everyway
He’s my only hope I have, to come and save my son
It’s through the blood of Jesus, and He is the only one
