WORLD POVERTY AND NEGLECT

Dark days give Christians an opportunity
To show compassion and be kind
Let our faith in Christ shine
Millions of poverty stricken people
Live in our world today
This is shameful and it’s not okay
God has really blessed us
In this beautiful country we are in
But how do you know
He is not testing us
To show his love
Wherever we go
And drop in and say hello
There are many needs
In our community
Look around you
There maybe an opportunity
We often say what we can do
Try living in their shoes
Families around us
Struggle with rising costs
Display some love
From the light in the cross
Give a small parcel
And show them you care
Circumstances in their life
Have not been fair
Elderly people
Have been neglected
Show them some love
And get connected
Many people
Find it hard to cope
Drop in and give them
Some hope
Don’t be blind, be kind

YOU MAY THINK YOU’RE RIGHTEOUS

If I was hungry
Would you feed me
And offer me
A warm drink of tea
If I had no shelter
And no place to sleep
Would you help me
Find a place that is free
If you found me, naked and sick
Could I depend on you a little bit
To help me with some clothes
Or would you
Send me away and hope
That I would go
What if I was in prison
Would you ignore me
And pretend I didn’t exist
Or would you be my friend
And tell me
That I’ve been missed
I may be a stranger
And in danger
Or even an enemy
Someone you don’t like
Or would you rather me
Get out of your sight
If you refuse to help
These lost sheep
You’re refusing the Lord
And that makes Him weep

IS IT EASIER TO GIVE UP OR TO PRAY

If someone mistreats you, pray for them
A changed heart, can become a gem
Never pay back evil for evil
It will only cause an upheaval
God will repay those who deserve it
Set example and do good
The chances are they’re misunderstood
If you give them encouragement
Instead of judgment
Hopefully
They will become stickers
Instead of quitters
It’s easy to condemn
It will only make things worse
There is only one way for it to end
And that is get rid of the curse
Sometimes we give up so easily
And turn away completely
Thank you Jesus
For not feeling that way
I’ve often wondered
Where I would be today
If it wasn’t for your
Mercy and grace
I know I would have been
An absolute waste

WIVES, LOVE YOUR HUSBANDS

A good man by your side is priceless
And I know that some are not the nicest
But if you have a good man, hold onto him
Treat him with love and kindness
God has blessed you, with the finest
There are women, who are very selfish
And only interested in what they can get
They have no substance and no respect
Using your partner for self gain
Is a very low act and you should be ashamed
Many men fall deeply in love, with their wives
They work hard for their families to survive
Sadly some women take their partners for granted
I believe, they need a new brain implanted
Your man deserves to be loved and hugged
Both should work together as a team
Not fighting each other and being mean
Everything should be shared
Don’t hold back from each other
And never ever compare
Communicate and do things together
Stop the mood swings, they’re like the weather
Many men have been ripped apart
By women who have no heart
Home, family, the lot all gone
They become bitter with nowhere to belong
These men then often lash out, on women like me
Boy don’t I know it, I’ve known three
But I understand, what they go through
It’s a very painful process for a man
Love and honour him, hold  his hand
A kiss and a hug, goes a long way
Tell him you love him and make his day

GAME HUNTERS

Sexual contact expresses our love
When two people
Are joined by God from above
Many men and women today
Treat sex as a game and play
Their heart and feelings
Become like a stone
Harden at the core
For someone unknown
It’s only your body they want
So they can explore and more
And you feel, cheap and nasty
When they’ve had all their pleasure
And you’re thrown out the door
Love should be a beautiful expression
Not wham bang and thank you Sam
That’s enough to give you depression
It’s also abusing the privilege
Which God, has given us
There is no respect or trust
Just a body full of holes that rust
You become worthless and out of control
This destroys your heart and soul

ABUSIVE LOSERS

Aggression
Brutality
User
Stalking
Evil
Repulsive

All come to one word, an Abuser
And they’re a bunch of intimidating losers
Fancy having a heart like that
Being a malicious thug
The only thing
They’re good at is being a mug
Paedophiles have sick minds
Their wiring, has crossed the line
Something has warped
They sweet talk
And stalk our children
Their brains must be screwed
All they can do is be
Rude and crude
I would like to see these monsters
Get what they deserve
They certainly have a nerve
How dare they, be vicious
What rights do they have
To be rude, rotten and malicious
Their revolting behaviour is so hideous
Full of misery and so ridiculous
Their freaks in our society
Get a life, and some propriety

YOU ARE NOT WORTHLESS

God wants you to have hope and a future
Please don’t ever feel that you have no purpose
God has plans for you, so you are never worthless
Unkind words, causes a build up of resentment
Live in harmony and you will know contentment
Be careful what words you speak
It may break someone’s heart and cause them to weep
Often abused victims lack confidence
And they are always on the defence
They have been put down so often
Because of hardened hearts, which would not soften
Mistreated victims need to know they are accepted
Scarred deeply, because they were rejected
Listen to them, they need so much understanding
Healing is what they need, not demanding
The devil steals, but God heals
Put yourself in their place and see how you feel

DANGEROUS LIAISON

Stay away from being involved, in demonic activities
Some people have a natural inclination for these proclivities
They are drawn into this evil web of destruction
Getting themselves defiled by this kind of seduction
You have no idea what you are letting yourself in for
One thing I’ve learnt about the Satan, he evens the score and more
It’s a very dangerous liaison, playing games with the devil
And it’s not long before you sink to his wicked level
Polluted by his evil, you then seek out to cause devastation
Destroying your own hope of Salvation
Drugs and alcohol open your mind to the devils destructive web
Common sense goes out the door, because you’re off your head
Your personality changes, when you’re under Satan’s power
Full of vileness and misery, your nature become hideously sour
Any involvement in evil practices, is where the devil lurks
In actual fact you are worshipping the devils works

SEXUAL ADDICTION

Sexual addiction can be a serious problem
It can have grave consequences for you
If their sexual drive is strong enough
They may molest you and get really rough
This kind of sexual perversion is dangerous
And can lead them to being fairly ferocious
Not only that, it’s an unhealthy obsession
Murder, rape and child sexual abuse
Often comes, from this kind of aggression
Some of the perverted attitudes I hear
Make me sick to the stomach
Many people and children, live in fear
The way these depraved
And twisted minds think
Is so disgusting, it really stinks
They can trap you into their evil web
Just to get you into their bed
You can be belted black and blue
Their brains are corrupted and screwed
No matter how loud you squeal
They couldn’t care less how you feel
As long as they have their evil pleasure
By abusing you, at their leisure
If you find yourself, in a situation like this
Don’t ever let them get away with it
This is a serious crime
And they should be confined
They deserve to be put away, and do time

PREGNANCY SHOULD BE A TIME OF JOY

They say it takes two to tango
And there is an old saying
What you reap you sow
No truer word said
But it’s a bit late
When you’ve been in bed with Fred
Countless numbers of females
Have been dumped
And left to bare the brunt
Pregnant and all alone
This is a true picture
That we’ve all been shown
And then, there have been cases of
Young girls as young as ten
Sexually abused by older men
Found to be pregnant
It makes you wonder
What happens to them then
In their young lives
They become mothers and wives
Nobody knows, they’re often disguised
Teenage pregnancies are on the rise
Many parents disown them
They dishonour their name with shame
And they’re scared out of their wits
With no where to go, they really don’t know
What do they do next, their mind is perplexed
These young ones need our help
Give them a chance
Someone to give them some guidance
Let them know, they’re loved
Not shamefully hidden away and shoved

FIND YOURSELF A BUDDY

A friend is someone
Who has a listening ear
A buddy, you can call on
If you’re living in fear
Or if you need a place to shelter in
When the going gets tough
You’ve been bashed and bruised
And you’ve had enough
Don’t be ashamed
To call for assistance
It’s very hard to help you
If there is a wall of resistance
We all need one another
Especially when
We are hurting at times
Assaulting a person
Is a serious crime
I’ve often wondered
Why women allow
Themselves to be bullied
By these morons
Abused week after week
Living in constant fear
Threatened and scared
When these creeps come near
It’s hard to understand them fully
Who would want to live with a bully?
I call them thickheads, they’re not strong
They wouldn’t know the difference
Between right and wrong
Brainless cowards, they will pay
And God will deal with them in some way
Please listen, all you women and children
Don’t be afraid, you will be okay
You can get help, do not delay

DON’T BREED A SELF-CENTRED SOCIETY

Spoiling your children
By giving in to them for every whim
The consequences
For these actions can be very grim
Permissive parenting has created
A generation of entitlement children
You would have to be a banana skin
Short of a banana
They will always be asking you for a lend
And it will send you around the bend
The more you give, the more they want
They’ve scored a victory and triumphant
You gave into them, now they become defiant
Spoilt kids are often demanding
In the real world, there is such a thing
As crash landing
Parents, what are you doing
I think it’s about time you start reviewing
I never did go much on the, I want society
It breeds selfishness with no sense of priority
This kind of mentality
Can be devastating, in future relationships
Selfishness destroys families and friendships
There are many areas I could mention
Don’t spoil your kids, used your brains
It’s best if you can use some prevention
We don’t want a society of egotistic brats
There is already, too much crap
Our children need to learn appreciation
And to be responsible
To build a healthier foundation

AMAZING IS YOUR LOVE FOR ME

Lord, you strengthened
My mind, body and soul
The years of abuse, took its toll
In my affliction
You then encouraged me
To walk by faith, with conviction
Knowing you’re there
With me day and night
Through all my trials
You guided me right
Even when
My heart was broken
You let me know
Your door was open
Amazing is your love
It’s like I feel your hugs
In my despair
You were always there
You showed me
How to love and to share
Thank you my Lord
For forgiving my sins
And giving me hope
For a new life to begin
You wiped away my tears
And replaced calm, instead of fear
You then filled my heart
With your peace and contentment
And completely removed
All of my resentment
I give you all my praise
Thank you Lord that I am saved
The devil’s curse, has been broken
Your word, has been spoken
You set me free and gave me the key
Now your Holy Spirit lives within me

YOU CAN CHANGE HOW YOU FEEL

You find yourself in a desolate place
Lonely and miserable
And your life seems such a waste
A broken marriage, kids all gone
Your days of loneliness
Go on for so long
Giving up, is the easy way out
Start getting out and about
Many of us feel lonely
And don’t know where to go
A walk along the beach
Or even go and see a show
It’s very surprising how you feel
Your spirits are lifted
After many years, of a raw deal
That made you  so sick
And feeling really ill
You make things harder for yourself
Don't stay at home, collecting dust
You're not an ornament on a shelf
I decided to get involved in a church
It was easy to make friends
I didn’t have to search
With my confidence restored
My healing came, with so much more
With all the bitterness gone
I felt I had a place, where I belonged
A brand new family, wow
They made me feel so good, and how
Amazing, I would never have believed
That you could feel this good
If you’ve never considered a church
Maybe you should
My bitterness
Was replaced with forgiveness
I started to give
And then I started to live
Reaching out and helping others
You’ll find peace and joy
With one another
Jesus heals, the devil steals
You have the power
To change how you feel

LISTEN THEY’RE NOT ALWAYS FOOLING

Please listen, mum to what I say
This hurt inside me, will not go away
You always push me aside, so I cry
And tell me to go away, because I lie
Mum please believe me
I’m trying to tell you the truth
Why call me names
And tell me I’m a useless youth
I’m just not coping with my schooling
You say I am lazy and just fooling
Please mum, I don’t understand the work
I have tried so hard, but you call me a jerk
I’m having difficulties, and you put me down
At school the kids, just push me around
They say I’m idiot, and I act like a clown
Believe me mum, I cannot take this anymore
My life is worthless, I wish it was no more

We must help, these children
Before it’s too late
There are so many of them
In this sad state
Losing their confidence
Is bad enough
With no one caring
When the going gets tough
They really feel, useless to mankind
Suicide often enters their minds
Even in some of our schools today
Teachers haven’t got the time
To help these kids, in anyway
This is the truth, I’m sad to say
If you’re below average
And have special needs
It’s very hard to get help
For these children to succeed
They need special schooling
So please listen to your kids
They’re not always fooling

HE PUT SUNSHINE IN MY HEART

A burst of sunshine lights up my day
I thank the Lord and I pray
My days are beautiful and refreshing
Each day I have, is a blessing
I never thought in a million years
That God would wipe away my tears
His majestic voice, whispered in my ear
“If you need me, I’m here
And if you take my hand I will set you free”
I can’t believe this, God is talking to me
Amazing, why would God want to be my friend
I found this so hard to comprehend
But there he was, offering me the very best
I thought this is unbelievable, it must be a test
God has shown me many things
I feel like I’m flying, with angel wings
The Lord is my best friend
And he always listens
His light shines, and warms my heart
Better than any diamond that glistens
His presence is all around me
And so many things, I now see
My eyes have been opened
The Lord, healed my heart
Because it was broken
At last I have faith, trust and hope
In an awesome God, this is no joke
I speak the truth, he made sure I heard
It is written in my heart, his amazing word

FIND A SOLUTION AND END THE POLLUTION

Work place bullying is unacceptable
Some people carry this way too far
It can cause severe depression
And leave some very deep seated scars
Nobody should
Have to tolerate verbal abuse
And make you feel that you have no use
It’s irresponsible and offensive
And only puts you on the defensive
It’s better to sit down
And discuss the situation
Instead of anger and frustration
You can enjoy going to work
If everybody pulls together
And does not shirk
There are some cases
Where there
Is a personality conflict
So incompatible
That you give up and quit
No matter what you do
It’s never right
Even though you try
With all your might
Not a good atmosphere
To work in
Productivity suffers
And nobody wins
Find a solution
And end the pollution
Stop flying insults
And being so critical
Encouraging each other
Works miracles

MONEY CAN BE AN UNHEALTHY ADDICTION

Spend, spend and spend
You go over your heads
And need a lend
Try using some self control
Or you may lose all your goals
The consequences of these actions
Will not gratify or give you satisfaction
In the end you find yourself
With a load of unwanted junk
And your account balance has shrunk
Often family arguments arise
Don’t be at all surprised
Not enough money to feed the family
Your bills will rise annually
Suddenly you find
You’re in one big deep mess
Feeling like a failure and depressed
Alcoholism and arguments, often develop
Bills don’t get paid, you have to sell up
Your family suffers severely
And you are not thinking at all clearly
Abuse often arises, from these situations
Suffering, pain and family separation
All kinds of addictions
Can have damaging affects
Do something about it
Before lives get wrecked

DANGER IN HITCH HIKING

Drops of blood drip down her legs
Can anyone hear her, as she begs
Swollen eyes, she can hardly see
Darkness surrounds her
Somehow, she must get free
Feeling faint
She struggles, she can’t get out
The door is locked, she tries to shout
Not knowing what to do
Her body in agony, is black and blue
Fear creeps in
She feels like she is dying
Her clothes are drench
From all the crying
Sexually attacked
And shoved in a dark old room
So sinister, it feels like a tomb
She got into a car, hitch hiking home
The guy seemed nice, he offered her a cone
She looked at him and said no
I don’t do drugs, just take me home
He knocked her unconscious
Blood was everywhere
Her life in jeopardy
She really needs prayer
Never accept a ride
By a stranger
Otherwise you could be
In serious danger

LET IT ALL GO AND BE STRONG

Stay strong don’t fall into a heap
Let it all out and weep
Be open with your feelings
We are not weaklings
It’s a great release
And it brings peace
If we hold on to resentment
We will never know contentment
Bitterness destroys your personality
Forgiveness restores your mentality
If you let it eat into you
You will be in a madhouse
Before you’re through
Get a life and move on
You will get over it
And you will grow strong
Sometimes we experience
Things we must learn
So don’t be concerned
Be happy you came through it
You have to admit
It could have been worse
Know this, you’re not the first
Cherish what you have now
The past is gone, so has the rows
You future is out there
Go for it and take care
