THEIR ONLY MOTIVATION IS GREED

Money, power and prestige
Seems to be the
Only motivation that
Some people need
They don’t care
How they achieve it
As long as they
Receive it
And who they hurt
To get it is the last thing
On their minds
To me they are beneath
Even a dirty old swine
There is no other word
For them except creeps
And what they sow
They will reap
Using people for
Personal gain
Robbing them blindly
Is more to their shame
They have no regard
For anyone but themselves
Devoid of any morals
As long as they don’t fail
Greed is a very selfish sin
You become so twisted within
Gaining prosperity
By destroying others
You're becoming a miserable fool
And under a wicked curse
That rules
By laying up treasures
On this earth
You are destroying
Your own worth

PARASITE OF LUST

His power over her
Is dark and gloom
He wants all the privileges
But doesn’t want to pay
For his room
He treats her like
A lump of meat
And when he’s finished
His feast, she’s like dirt
Under his feet
Driven by lust
His personality
Is full of rust
Her family is in danger
But she cannot see
This man is like
A scavenger
And will not let
Them go free
She doesn’t realize
That he’s using her
For his own
Miserable needs
As long as he gets
What he wants
He will never let her be
Care and support
Is far from his mind
There will never be
Any commitment
Of any kind
I guess she thinks
She loves him maybe
But now she is
Having this beautiful baby
Her relationship with him
Has no true love at all
And one day she
Will see this
When he walks out
On them all
He’s a parasite
That comes on in
When he’s finished with her
She  be tossed away
Like dirty rubbish in a bin

DON’T ALLOW OURSELVES
TO BE KNOCKED AROUND

Dear Lord
Help us to pray
And restore our faith
That has been taken away
Years of abuse
Has taken its toll
Especially when they think
You’re nothing but a mole
My confidence
Has been shattered
To them my life
Did not matter
Malicious words
Are destructive
And can destroy
A person’s will to a point
Where you become
Severely ill
The stress of it all
Can leave you in
A terrible mess
And you start to
Believe everyone
Is the same and
You’re thought of less
The devil seeks
To steal and destroy
You feel like junk
Discarded like
An old broken toy
We have to learn
To stand on our ground
And stop these people
From knocking us around
We deserve better than this
Get rid of the abusers
And the users
They’ll not be missed
There is so much beauty around
But sadly we sometimes
Don’t see it because
We’ve allowed ourselves
To be bound down
God’s love wants to move on in
So that we can have
A new life to begin

REJECTED, SHE WASN’T BORN A BOY

Just a wee defenceless baby
Lying there peacefully
In her crib
Oblivious to the danger
That surrounds her
Until she cops a blow to her ribs
The battering continues
Until she lies there
Without any motion
This cruel demonic
Evil action was committed
By someone
Without any emotion
From the moment of birth
She was rejected
And never would be accepted
Because she wasn’t born a boy
She was flung onto the floor
Like an old rag toy
In countries all over the world
You hear about these notorious acts
The human race has so much
To answer for
As so many are evil
And lower than rats
It’s hard to imagine
That this sort of behaviour
Goes on today
One day they will have to pay
Abusing defenceless children
Will bring a high price
On their heads
Losing their life of eternity
And going to hell instead

BATTLING TO SURVIVE

The wealthy get richer
And the poor get poorer
The world is so evil
Like Sodom and Gomorrah
Our widows battle on
This is so wrong
Trying to make ends meet
Their world is so bleak
Single parents who raise
Their children alone
Battling to pay their rent
To give their
Children a home
Not enough food on
Their tables
The bills keep rolling in
Losing heart
And severely stressed
They feel like giving in
Battling to survive
To keep their family alive
Their rents are being increased
They will have to break
Their lease
But where will they go
They just don’t know
Worried sick
That they will lose their kids
I hope it never happens
Please God forbid
Little ones don’t understand
Why Mummy or Daddy
Let strange people
Take them away
Fostered to a new home
Where they have to stay
Their little minds in turmoil
Scared with fear
Their parents
No longer near
Tears of heart break
Roll down their cheeks
Where’s Mummy
And Daddy gone
They then start to freak

ABUSIVE WORDS ARE SO CRUEL

Abusive words are so cruel
You feel worthless
And more like a fool
Self doubt becomes
A huge issue
Lacking confidence
In all that you do
And not confident
Or brave enough
To try something new
Rejection brings fear
When anyone appears
You find it hard to
Start a conversation
And keep it rolling
Preferring others
To do the controlling
It’s awful not being at ease
In crowded areas
Feeling inferior
You almost panic
With hysteria
For many years
I suffered panic attacks
It’s horrible and frightening
And you’re always
Watching your back
Thinking everybody
Wants to hurt you
It’s very scary
To go through
Your life seems so black
And before you know it
You’re walking way
Off the track
And under the devils power
Your only hope is the Lord
To stop your heart
From turning sour
He has become my Strength
And my strong tower

MY SKIN STARTED TO CRAWL

His eyes are so grim
They reflect the darkness
Of his sin
As he slowly examines you
Up and down
His eyes full of evil
All the way round
Your skin starts to crawl
As you see his mouth drool
His words are so obscene
He really looks nasty and mean
As a child it scares you to death
Not knowing which way to turn
Right or left
In desperation you start to run
But he stands in the way
As if he’s holding a gun
Bailing you up which ever
Way you turn
Taunting and laughing
Your stomach just churns
He is so evil and corrupt
And looks as filthy
As old muck
I will never forget
How scared
I was at the time
It nearly blew
Me out of my mind
I didn’t report his actions
What was the point of that
Was my reaction
I had already suffered
Abuse from my Dad
I thought it was
Normal that all
Men were bad

JESUS BREAKS ALL THE SHACKLES

The Lord gives living water
To people who thirst after him
No matter how bad things are
If you open up to Jesus
You will be better off by far
Jesus freely gave his life
For the atonement of our sin
Praise God he gave us hope
For our new life to begin
There is so much betrayal
And destruction
Families are suffering
With this evil seduction
This cruel sadistic
World we live in
Is so full of dishonesty
And fraud
We really need to open
Our hearts
And seek the Lord
Children are
Our next generation
They need to build
Their lives
On a strong foundation
For us to give them
Every chance
They need to know
In advance
About the gift of life
That is offered to them
They need to know
Jesus as their
Very best friend
It makes such a difference
To the way they will feel within
They will have
His power and strength
To help fight
All the attacks of sin
Jesus breaks all the shackles
And helps you fight
All your battles

TRUE LOVE CANNOT BE BROKEN

True love is like a silver cord
This cannot be broken
Between two hearts
That is in one accord
You’re there for one another
And have no desire
For any other
When you’re together
The very thought of
Leaving each other is never
You’re so entwined
This love is a gift from God
To mankind
Sadly very few have this
Kind of love
The word love has been abused
So corrupted that people
Are now being used
True love is beyond measure
When you have it
It’s a priceless treasure
Love is patient and kind
It refuses to hurt you
And leave you behind
Love is never selfish
And hates evil
Love does all it can
To avoid upheaval
Love never gives up
On faith or hope
And will move a mountain
To help their love ones cope
True love will never fail you
Because it is eternal
And will always be there
Every step of your journey
When two people come together
They become one flesh
In love forever
Entwined like mesh
God’s love for us is so pure
And endures everlastingly
His grace and mercy
Is secure
Just as I am, He accepted me
Now I have God’s love
For the world to see

YOUR ENEMIES WILL FLEE
BECAUSE YOU BELIEVE

Cast your burdens
Upon the Lord
Put your trust in him
And he will take them all
God has said he will
Never leave or forsake you
His promises are all true
You’ll not need to be afraid
He is with you all the way
Your enemies will flee
Because you’ve believed
Let go of your sinful life
And follow me, says the Lord
You will not be forsaken
For the Lord
Has come with a sword
Teach your children
To love and honour God
He will walk with them
Through the darkest
Of all fogs
They will not fear
God will be near
He will listen
To their prayers
And be with them
When they’re scared
We’re surrounded by evil
The devil attacks
But he is a coward
And a weevil
Our children are
Worth protecting
Give them every chance
To love God and accept him

DECEIVING IS AN ACT OF BETRAYAL

Our children trust
And believe in us
When they
Have been deceived
By their loved ones
Their little hearts grieve
And their whole outlook
Can change overnight
In their heart a light
Has been turned out
Where there was trust
There is now doubt
Deceiving is an act of betrayal
That destroys their confidence
And they can feel a failure
Children are loved by God
He will give back to them
What has been robbed
And will heal their hearts
His love never departs
We have this assurance
If we reach out to him
The abandoned and abused
All those that have been hurt
By this destructive sin
The sun will go down
On all those who mislead
Their lives will turn to misery
And they will never succeed
Children are under our care
Don’t destroy their hope
And lead their lives into despair
Or you will answer severely
And pay very dearly
God has his eyes on us all
It’s a heavy price to pay
To lose eternity and fall
Into the deep depth’s of hell
Full of darkness
Where you will dwell

WHAT A PRIVILEGE IT IS
KNOWING I AM HIS CHILD

Anytime I have been distressed
The Lord has always been there
What a feeling to be blessed
He called my name
And I willingly came
Many times I have poured
My heart out to him
He never turned away
And he always listened
To what I had to say
My life was full of sin
Most of the time
I never knew where to begin
So ashamed of my behaviour
Praise God I have a Saviour
God showed me that
I needed to change
But I needed his help
For my life to be rearranged
In my weakness
I couldn’t do it alone
Every time I tried
I put if off and postponed
Feeling like a failure
All I did was moan
When I cried out to my Lord
He picked me up
As if I was a piece of straw
And gave me strength
I was so in awe
What a difference
He has made to my life
It’s a great feeling knowing
The path I’m on now is right
I have never regretted
My decision
Proudly to admit
I am under God’s supervision
What a privilege it is
Knowing I’m His child and saved
Now all I do is smile

HE IS MY REASON

I’m wearing a smile
Instead of a frown
My King in glory
Wears the crown
He is my reason
For being so happy
Praise God
I’m a happy chappie
My heart was breaking
My whole body
Was aching and shaking
My nerves were a mess
And at night I had no rest
I was dreading each day
As it came
By nightfall I was
Almost insane
In my darkest hours I wept
My pillow was sopping wet
The years of misery had
Taken its toll
My mind so tormented
I was a lost soul
My Saviour came
He healed my pain
And heard my cries
I was baptized
Wash and cleansed
By His blood
He took all the dirt
And the mud
He is my reason
For living
He is my reason
For hope
He is my reason
For my faith
He is the reason
I’m filled with love
Peace and joy forever
From the
Living God above

PRAISE GOD THAT YOU CAME

If it wasn’t for you Lord
My life would not be the same
I’m so thankful
When I called your name
You heard my voice and you came
I was in a desperate situation
Under tremendous strain
And violation
I started to pray
It was the most
Wonderful feeling
Knowing that you
Wouldn’t turn away
You offered me so much more
I have your love forevermore
My tears have turned to joy
The love I have for you my Lord
The enemy cannot destroy
In my world
That was full of sorrow
You gave me hope
For a new tomorrow
Everything to me looks brighter
The Lord gave me a determination
To never give in, be a fighter
Never give up on what you believe
Have patience and faith
And you will receive
Without God
I did not have the strength
He was right behind me
Making sure I went
That extra length
My confidence is now restored
I don’t know how to thank my Lord
Now when the enemy attacks
This awesome power within
Helps me combat the sin
I had to overcome
All my hurt and pain
Jesus gave my life a purpose
Now I know it wasn’t in vain
I’ve learnt a very valuable lesson
To give it all to God
All my confessions
And fully trust in Him
No longer feeling worthless
God’s mercy took my sin

GOD KNOWS OUR NEEDS

Materialism can stand in the way
Of what you pray
God knows our needs
Even before we say
The condition of our heart
Is a big consideration
Even before we start
There are all kinds of needs
Our wants are sometimes
Full of greed
My mother
Protected her possessions
Like a god
Now she has nothing
Except a man
With an iron rod
My ex-husband
Put his possessions
Before me
Now he feels alone
And in need
Depending on others
For their kind deeds
Selfishness breeds
Like a cancer
And can destroy the soul
Can take away any hope
Or any goal
Our Lord he cares
For our fish in the sea
And the birds of the air
So beautifully clothed
With plenty of food to spare
The animals of the earth
Are given grass to eat
And some are given
Animals for their meat
Insects of many kinds
So beautifully
Created in all their designs
The Lord’s Prayer
Says it all
Pray it daily
And you
Will have the Lord

GOD, HE HEARS

The Lord he hears
And he takes away all our fears
When my tears are flowing
He helps to keep me going
I’ve waited so long
As things in my life
Were terribly wrong
He hears, and brought me back
To the place, where I belong
Forever I will love him
And I know he is near
You Lord are my one hope
My love for you is sincere
In my times of despair
And my life seem so unfair
The Lord held out his arms
And showed me he cared
At night I would lay awake
My heart really ached
As I laid there in my bed
My thoughts and feelings
Were whirling around my head
The darkness of the night
Formed shadows on the wall
They looked very scary
And so very tall
I called on my Lord and he came
He seems to know my voice
And my name
The Lord he hears
And knows what we go through
He feels for us too
A day will come
When I feel his embrace
And meet my Lord face to face

GOD SHOWS US HE CARES

Where do you find
Peace of mind
In a world
Where no one seems to care
What does it take
To show a little kindness
And outreach
To someone and share
Wouldn’t it be wonderful
To help someone
Fulfill their dreams
When you know
They have little hope
Within their means
Why is the world
So full of greed
When so many are dying
And in poverty and in need
No matter where I look
Or where I go
There is always sadness
And it really shows
God has given us
More than enough
We should share
With each other
When the going gets tough
How can you sleep
Knowing others weep
Our eyes can be blind
When we see all the signs
People with disabilities
The abused and the needy
They cry out to us
But so many are greedy
These people
Are really hurting
And it’s not very nice
God made us family
To love and to share
And be part
Of the body of Christ
He showed us that he cared
By wiping our sins away
He gave us hope for eternity
And gives us
His love everyday

REFRAIN FROM ANGER

Smile and your day
Will be so much brighter
Taking away your woes
It gives you a lift
And makes your load
Much lighter
The sun seems to shine
When we are cheerful
But when angry storms
Affect our lives
We become very tearful
The bible says
We should be quick to hear
And slow to speak
The mouth can act
As a sword
And shred the meek
A gentle answer
Quietens anger
Anger from the past
Must be acknowledged
And confessed
Otherwise it festers up
Like a boil leaving
Your lives in a mess
Don’t block God’s light
From shining through
The darkness between
Is evil and full of gloom
If you let pride
Stand in your way
It may be too late
For another day
Refrain from anger
And turn away from wrath
Go visit a friend
And have a good laugh

WHERE ARE YOUR REAL TREASURES

Hard work and dedication
Can bring you wealth
But there is more to life
Than one’s self
Your riches may bring
You satisfaction
But it also can be
A serious distraction
It can take you away
From the things that
Have far more worth
This is far greater
Than anything
On this earth
Your real treasure
Is not of this world
There is a place
Waiting in heaven
Ready for you when
Your life
Has been fulfilled
Today I heard
About a lady with
Multiple Sclerosis
Needing a wheel chair
I felt for this
Woman’s despair
Her story was on
The television
Politicians must have
Clouded visions
This lady’s life is a struggle
And it should never be
And in her condition she
Should never have to plead
If you have wealth
You have been blessed
Don’t be selfish
In what you possess
With no thought for the needy
And the oppressed
Otherwise it can lead
Your life into desolation
With no hope of salvation

BURIED ALIVE

The sheer horror of it all
It’s hard to believe
That a person can be so cruel
An innocent young life
Taken by some lowlife
A five year old girl
So precious as a pearl
Sexually molested
By this evil minded
Despicable Paedophile
Repugnant and vile
This miserable character
Needs a noose
For this kind of abuse
When I close my eyes
I see the sheer terror
In this little girl’s face
Her heart would be
Beating so hard that
It would race
Her death would
Be terrifying
I can almost hear
Her crying
Muffled by her screams
This is no dream
Buried alive
This little girl had
No chance to survive
Her distraught parents
Have no peace
They’ve lost their
Beloved daughter
The pain in their hearts
Cannot be released
How will they cope
There is only one hope
Jesus is the only way
The pain will stay
If you can never forgive
It will destroy you
As long as you live
Don’t give the devil
This satisfaction
He is the cause
Of this vile action
