TRUST HAS TO BE EARNED

It’s impossible to trust
When you keep
Getting let down
This is the case
So I’ve found
People seem
Genuine at first
Sadly for me
It’s been the reverse
They sit there
Blatantly telling
Me lies
Thanks to God
I’m becoming wise
The truth is far
From their lips
Sadly I have had
To come to grips
Knowing full well
They’re out only to sell
Without any feeling
For your well being
Their only interest
Is what they can get
Not what they can give
This sadly has its affect
And I’ve had to
Learn to forgive
It disheartens me greatly
And I’ve met some
Real ripe ones lately
Trust has to be earned
This is one thing
I’ve learned

DEVIL'S PLAYGROUND

The mouth can be the
Devils playground
You know its evil
By its sound
The way some
People talk
I cringe inside and
Away I walk
They have no
Consideration for others
I often here it
Coming from mothers
There should be a law
Against foul swearing
Especially with our
Children hearing
Foul language
Seems to have
Taken over
The atmosphere becomes
Dark and sinister
As the devil hovers
What comes out
Of the mouth is filling
Your heart and mind
It will destroy you
Before too long
If it’s the evil kind
It’s a sad reflection
On our society with
No respect for others
I would like to jam
A pillow in their mouth
Shut them up and smother
It's degrading your self
Get rid of the filth
Evilness will endanger
Your own health

LIFE IS NOT AN EASY ROAD

Seek and you will find
Someone who is kind
Halleluiah Lord
You’re the first who
Came to my mind
You’re always there
I know you care
Thank you Jesus
That I’m aware
Nothing can shake
The foundation
I am now on
Satan tries
But I know
Where I belong
The devil attacks
But Jesus reacts
He comes to my aid
The devil then fades
Life is not an easy road
Experiences teach us
Which way to go
Thank you Jesus
I’ve understood
I know evil tries to wipe
Out the good
But if your heart
Is right with the Lord
He gives us power
To cut through it
Like a sword
Praise has power
It overcomes
And devours
Everything
Evil in its path
It destroys the devil
And all his wrath

THERE IS NO DISTANCE IN PRAYER

There is no distance in prayer
The God of our universe
Always cares and
He’s always there
If his answer has not
Gone your way
It’s because he knows best
He will make sure
You’re okay
Be positive every day
Sometimes it’s hard
But we do move on
God moves to make
Things right that have
Gone   terribly wrong
The picture we see
Is not always what
God has planned for thee
I've learnt to accept this
No matter how much I wish
We may not like
The answer God gives us
I know if I want
My life in his hands
Then I know I must
Give him my trust
Suffering is part of life
We learn from it
At times it cuts
Through our heart like a knife
But we are stronger
Than you think
It will all pass in a blink
Time moves on very fast
Don’t dwell in the past
I am because of God’s plans
That should tell you
God made you with his hands
In life we need guidance
You don’t need
To be a genius to
Know that science
Don’t live in defiance
But be compliant
You will be blessed
Leave it with the Lord
He knows best

OUR WORLD IS FULL OF SICK MINDS

Disturbed minds
And there are
Many kinds
I do wonder
About it at times
Drugs can be the blame
But also our system
Sadly to their shame
Expert advice
And they call
Themselves professionals
Maybe they should
Start going to church
And saying
Their confessionals
The damage that
Has been caused
Through their lack
Of experience
Reflects in our society
With so many incoherent
Education is good thing
Don’t read me wrong
Learning is something
That is life longNovember
But a certificate
Does not mean a thing
Unless you’ve walked
The walk to where
They’ve been
How can they
Possibly understand
But some of them
Think they know it all
And have the answers
In their hands
Our world is
Full of sick minds
It really makes you think
When you see all the signs

HIS HURT IS MY PAIN

My eldest son is hurting
I’m partly to blame
When I think back on his
Child hood years
I really do feel ashamed
His little heart was full of love
He was booted around
And kicked and shoved
His father did not care
He would look
At him and swear
I should have protected him
From this kind of abuse
I didn’t want to be alone in life
But this is no excuse
Now my son lives in bitterness
That eats away his heart
He cannot stand his family
Or wishes to be a part
He has no respect
For women in his life
He says he   only wants
To use them but never
Take them as a wife
Sadly he disregards me
He only contacts
If there is need
I really wish
He would change
And accept things differently
His hurt is my pain
Jesus has forgiven me
And has taken my blame
The only thing I can do is pray
And ask God
To teach him his way

VANDALISM ABUSE

What a sick human
Form you are
To deliberately destroy
An innocent victim’s car
Spray paint is all over
This new vehicle
The owner would
Have been hysterical
What a lousy act to commit
If it had of been your car
You would have thrown a fit
Vandalism is a serious crime
It’s only a matter of time
When you will be caught
You’ve left the owner
Extremely distraught
Does it give you satisfaction
To know you’ve hurt someone
By your miserable actions
Your mind is filled
With wickedness
Full of spite and bitterness
You think you’ve got away
With this hideous act
God knows all
And that’s a fact
Vandalism is abuse
For these actions
You have no excuse
The last laugh
Will be on you
When suffering
And pain hits you too

THERE IS NO EXCUSE FOR ABUSE

There is no
Excuse for abuse
Whatever kind it may be
You may think you
Have that right
But I’ve got news for you
Nothing is hidden
In the Lord's sight
God is watching you
This is true
One day all of us
Will stand before God
He rules with an iron rod
The living and the dead
Will be judged
Don’t go to your death
With a grudge
If you’re cruel
You adding fuel
To your own fire
You’ll be the one
That will end up
In the mire
Abusing anyone
Is very wrong
And you will pay
Before too long
Callous treatment
Is not an area
That God accepts
Especially with children
When we have
An obligation to protect
Deliberately causing harm
Is like twisting
Your own arm
Change your
Way of thinking
Or your own life will
Start sinking
You’ll be under a curse
This is  so much worse

SATAN THE DECEIVER

God does not give us
A spirit of fear
Satan is a deceiver
He cheers when
We’re in tears
He’s a coward
Committing evil acts
And tempts us to sin
And viciously attacks
Evil is all around
The devil is not happy
Until he’s trampled us
Into the ground
He attacks
The ones we love
Our children
Become his targets
Kicked and shoved
And filled with drugs
Nothing stops him
He is the father of thugs
There is a supernatural
War going on
In heaven and earth
Our loved ones are precious
They need saving
Because of their worth
We need to stand
Against this evil
It's attacked us
Since our birth
This attack will not stop
Satan evil is rising to the top
We have to fight
This battle and win
We must conquer this
Temptation to sin
Evil destroys
Everything in its path
Until our lives
Are full of wrath
He is a deceiver
We need Jesus
Let’s all become believers

MOLESTED AS A CHILD

I was molested
As a child
This evil act is so vile
Dark and gloom
Fills my room
Storm clouds
Are filling my day
Lord, help me
Why am I
Feeling this way
My childhood memories
Flow back to haunt
Through the mind the
Rotten devil taunts
Hissing like a snake
Help me Lord
Before I break
I close my eyes
So I cannot see
This disgusting vision
Is in front of me
A voice in my head
Is one that I dread
I feel sick when I think
It could drive you
To the brink
Lord, take away
My chains and
The memories
They're full of pain
It’s the enemy
Fill me afresh
Like new
I need to put
This all behind me
And trust in
Your healing too

MY HUSBAND BECAME MY ENEMY

My home used to be
Like a mine field
Every word I would say
He would get
Angry and rave
Nothing I could say
Was ever right
We always ended up
Having a big huge fight
Our kids would hear
It was like living in fear
Wondering what was next
I hated going to bed at night
He used me just for sex
I’m sure he had
A brain malfunction
Due to his alcohol consumption
He went completely off his head
This I use to dread
I would hide in the garden
Hoping he would sleep it off
And go to bed
We could hear him carrying on
My poor kids heard all of this
It was just awful
And so terribly wrong
Yelling and banging
Swearing like mad
Our home was like an asylum
It really sounded bad
The language
Was dreadful that came
From our house
I felt like a mouse
When I saw the neighbours
Their face said it all
They were appalled
Embarrassment
Filled my face
I hated going home
To my place
It was like I was fighting
The archenemy
My husband
Became my enemy

OUR KIDS NEED TO LEARN RESPECT

Stressful situations
Are bad for your health
Some kids are selfish
And only think of them self
My granddaughter for one
Speaks to her parents
With very little respect
They get so angry
It has its affect
When you fly into a rage
It’s like a pressure gauge
People explode
When they’re in
The anger mode
And all hell breaks loose
It’s time to make a truce
Before things get out of hand
Control the fury if you can
Teenagers can be antagonistic
They close their ears off
They’re not very realistic
I’ve been through it many times
Their attitude can be
Way out of line
It’s easy to lose the plot
The kids these days
Want the lot
My kids were into drugs
And bullied us like thugs
Raising kids can be a nightmare
I hate to say it but it’s true
What our children can
Put us through
Stress can kill
It’s about time we
Teach them the drill
They need to learn respect
Before too many lives
Are wrecked

I’M IN GOD’S PLANS

Every day I need my Lord
Safe in his hands
Of this I’m assured
I no longer live in fear
Now I know that Jesus is near
The comfort he brings
Is like a fresh daily spring
I feel his warmth
As a new day begins
When the storm clouds are heavy
He brings in his light
My burden is eased
As he makes things right
A gentle breeze
Is his soft touch
He’s letting me know
He loves me so much
A river of life flows
Through my soul
I now have hope
With a brand new goal
My future has a purpose
I’m in God’s plans
Safe and secure
In his Holy hands
There is no need
To feel discouraged
The Lord will give you courage
His mercy comes with grace
Jesus died and took our place
No matter what
You’re going through
He’s always with you
Hold onto your faith
May God keep you safe

PEACE WILL REIGN

It’s only a
Matter of time
When all things
Will be fine
All heaven and earth
Will rejoice
And sing praises at the
Sound of his voice
Our trials
And tribulations
Will be a thing
Of the past
Satan’s ruling
Over the earth
Will not last
No more
Suffering or pain
For those
Who love Jesus
And give praise
To his name
Fill your house
With his love
Give the glory
To God above
We’re a brand
New creation
Because of
His gift of salvation
We will live
In harmony
Gone are the days
For the need
Of armory
Peace will
Fill our hearts
Never again
Will our lives
Fall apart
Peace will reign
Because of his name

YOU CAN CHOOSE OR YOU CAN LOSE

Your future
Should shape your
Hopes not your hurts
The devil attacks
So be on the alert
We must be careful
Not to allow bitterness
To reign in our heart
Satan destroys
And tears you apart
Self doubt comes
From condemnation
It rules with a force
From this evil source
You can’t move forward
Dwelling on the past
It will tear you down
Very fast
Jesus has given us hope
Holding on to our hurts
Is like hanging
Ourselves with a rope
You can choose
Or you can lose
My future has
Been shaped
The past has now gone
And so has my mistakes
Through Jesus
This battle
Has been won
Victims can overcome
God created us
For his purpose and plans
Don’t settle for less
When God wants us
To have the best

DON’T BE CONFUSED
YOU’RE BEING USED

It takes guts to
Get out of the ruts
There is always a door
To go through and explore
God offers us a way
It’s up to you
So don’t back away
Your grey skies
Will turn blue
If you let the Lord
Help you
If your lives are in chaos
And you want a way out
There is hope there
That’s without a doubt
Don’t be confused
You’re being used
Love and lust
Are so two
Different things
When you’re loved
You’re heart sings
Lust is for a moment
It’s feels like you’ve been
Mauled by a rodent
You’re being used
In your home
He’s got rid of
His filthy loam
And then you grieve
Worse still if you conceive
His lack of care
Puts you in despair
Think of your family
They should come first
Or one day soon
Your bubble will burst
Don’t wait for that day
Start to pray
And do something today

LIFE CAN BE TOUGH
AND IT GETS ROUGH

Tough times don’t last
But tough people do
The sad times will pass
Believe me this is true
I got through
And so will you
No point in giving in
That’s crazy
We need to win
Hopefully we learn
From our mistakes
We need to think
Before we act
For our own sakes
I’ve done plenty
Of stupid things
I had to wake up fast
Because it stings
Through my own stupidly
I’ve allowed myself to be hurt
In the hands of nasty jerks
I felt like ringing their necks
They didn’t care about
My life or the others
They’ve wrecked
We have to toughen up
And set our standards
Much higher
These men I’ve met
Have become
Exceptional liars
Life can be tough
And it gets rough
At one time
I was not strong
Until Jesus came along
I get my strength from him
Now I know I’ll win

INVEST IN YOUR FAMILIES FUTURE

Our children are the worlds
Future generation
It’s time to plant seeds
For their salvation
Nourishing comes from
Hearing God’s word
We need to feed them
So they’ve heard
Like young tender roots
They spring up
And need the light
To lead the way on
The path that is right
Living water shall
Fill their veins
They will sing from their lips
Our God reigns
We must invest
In our families future
And give them our time
So they grow like a vine
Help them to reach
Their full potential
Then they will reach
Their prime
Plant the seed of hope
Build their faith
So they’ll cope
Give them a
Reason to live
Teach them
They must forgive

THE DEVIL IS THERE
FROM THE BEGINNING

Some kids have it all
But they’re never happy
That’s for sure
Their attitude can get
Them into so much strife
Sadly for them they lose
The true meaning of life
Their first commandment
Is the words I want
It can come to blows
If you say no
They’re like fire that ignites
They feel it’s there right
Right from a young age
Our children should be taught
It really does
Need some thought
If they want things
They will have to earn a wage
Instead of getting into a rage
Sometimes even our gifts
Are not good enough
The atmosphere suddenly
Becomes pretty rough
If their demands are not met
They come back
With their threats
Satan entices our kids
When they’re young
You know this through
The power of the tongue
You don’t have to train
Your children to do wrong
They know all before too long
Children soon learn the
Wrong way fast
We need to work quickly
If we don’t want it to last
The devil is there
From the beginning
We need to stop him
From winning

HE’S TAKING YOU FOR A FOOL

He is as sly as a fox
His only interest in you
Is what you’ve got
His true colours are showing
By the way he acts
Once he’s got
What he wanted
He will give you the axe
You’re given no support
Let alone thought
This guy is taking you for a ride
While you provide
You’re given nothing in return
And he gives nothing
That he’s earned
You’re under so much stress
You need to get some rest
The strain is taking its toll
This parasite you’re living with
Wants full control
This guy doesn’t love you
Or your kids
If I was you
I would put him
On his skids
He wants all the power
To make himself look big
Get rid of him
Before it’s too late
His feelings for you
Are very fake
He’s taking you
For a fool
This man is so cruel
